After a few attempts with other developers, Auto One turned
to us for a reliable and easy to maintain website. After
much consideration and discussion we came up with a plan
that would best suit the group members and public visitors.
The focus of the site was to increase member awareness
and communication, ensuring that all members are always up
to date with the latest information and documents.
We implemented a traceable messaging system and
multi-level, multi-user group based security system. This
meant that head office could quickly send messages to the
entire group or to specific members and sub groups. These
message can be traced to see who has or hasn't read their
messages.
We also added a Rebate System, this required all members
to enter their purchase figures for the approved suppliers.
All the rebate data is automatically collated and reports
generated. This allowed head office to accurately invoice
the supplier for the correct rebate amounts.
As a further improvement to the site we built a system called "PriceNet" this
system contains all product information from all approved
suppliers allowing members to search for the best price
available for a given product. This information is
automatically updated nightly.
The entire job took around five months and was launched
at the 2004 national conference. |
