Ford - Dynamometer - Hardware/Software Support
With the skill set we had in house Ford quickly identified
us as being able to maintain their pre-existing dyno
facilities. We have performed works including calibrations,
modifications and enhancements for new vehicles and software
mods.
Ford - Brake Disk
Run Out Tester To further improve quality control processes,
we were approached by Ford to develop a simple brake disk
testing facility. This utilises a dial
gauge to measure any run out in the disk rotor. We developed the
software to control the testing process and log all
information as the disk rotated. Maximum and minimum
tolerances were recorded and stored in a CSV file. To
display this information back in a readable form we also
produced an excel file with built in routines to import the
data and graph it accordingly.
Ford - AM Radio Transmitters Ford came to us with a problem, in order to
maintain a high level of build quality they needed to ensure that
every vehicles radio was working on both the AM and FM
bands. The FM band was no problem as they had good reception in the plant, however the AM broadcasts were too weak
to penetrate the steel structure. This made it difficult to
test the correct operation of the radio.
After putting forward a proposal Ford contracted us to provide an AM radio transmitter
solution. We provided multiple short range AM
broadcast stations that transmit a pre-recorder voice
message to the
vehicles as they passed along the production line and in
turn solved the problem.

Line Vehicle Diagnostics Facilities
With skills including electrical engineering, electronics,
and automation we find ourselves helping out on a broad
range of facilities on the Ford production line. Be it
vehicle communications and diagnostics or laser barcode
scanning we can tackle just about anything thrown at us.
