Our mission was to develop a fully maintainable system that catered for
things such as:
- news updates
- product updates
- specials
- general content changes
We also needed to develop a template that could be
used for all the different
divisions
of RSP Automotive & Industrial, that gave them their own separate identity while
still maintaining the look and feel of the RSP Automotive & Industrial websites.

Our mission was to develop an easily editable and searchable
online shop that could handle 1000's of products. Naturally we
took up the challenge, putting our heads together to come up
with our own e-commerce facility.
The online store has been very successful and turnovers are over $30,000
a month. RSP Automotive & Industrial were extremely happy with these results. |

- QA
System
Our mission was to develop a QA System based on conformance
to the ISO 9002, Q1 & QS9000 model of business excellence.
The QA System was to bring knowledge retention and
dissemination within the organisation.
The basis of their QA System was a process-based approach to improving
the quality of service to RSP Automotive & Industrial's clients. The aim to
ensure that the requirements of there clients are not only met but
exceeded wherever
possible.
The QA system included features such as:
- Real time computerised personnel logging system
- Easy computerised documentation access
- Online feedback and suggestion box forums

Electronic Catalogue
As part of RSP's ever improving marketing
strategies, RSP decided to produce an electronic catalogue of
their products.
This is an ever improving tool that provides customers and
distributors with an easy to use application guide for all Rare
Spares products that includes pictures and retail pricing. This
tool has proved invaluable for the Rare Spares distributor network and is
continuously used on the counters of most Rare Spares outlets. |

Automatic Catalogue Generator (AutoCat)
When we noticed RSP process of manually creating and updating their huge
array of catalogues we proposed that we
automate the process.
After some discussion as to the huge savings that could be
made and the advantage of being able to quickly produce
up-to-date catalogues we had them convinced.
We went away and put some thought into the best way to
achieve the task and decided that a MS Word macro would be most
suitable.
After some hours of research and plenty of layout issues we
came up with a solution that completes the task admirably.
RSP were very impressed and now only produces catalogues as
required.
This product has evolved over time and is now customisable
and available to other customers. |

Price List Generator
After producing the AutoCat (automatic catalogue generator), RSP asked us to do
the same for their price lists. These were being produced on
their aging business system and looked very dated. By
directly accessing their data we produce the same catalogues
with a lot more style and flexibility.This product is
also customisable and available to others. |

Business E-Card
When RSP heard about these beauties they had to have them, calling
on our expertise we put it in the hands of our resident Flash
guru. Soon after we had an interactive business card containing
an animated version of our company profile to impress any
client.

Customised Screen Saver
When RSP's marketing department came to us with the idea of
providing their customers and distributors with a screen saver
to display new product information we rose to the challenge. we
quickly developed a customised screen saver that could be updated
and distributed easily.

Global
Contacts
With the tightening of security and removal of features in MS Outlook, RSP lost the ability
to run a shared contact lists
between staff members. In order to regain this capability RSP would
of had to purchase
an expensive mail server software solution. To avoid this cost for such a small
feature we developed our Global Contacts package. This allows
RSP to run both an internal staff contact list off an existing
staff database and also a shared contact list between all staff
members.

- Mail Inspector
With the release of the new Spam act on 10 April 2004 many
potential litigation claims
arose. RSP requested us
to come up with a solution to prevent the potential for one of these claims
being made against them. After
evaluating the system and some discussion we came up with the
specification for our new product, Mail Inspector. Mail
Inspector monitors all
outgoing email traffic and removes mail destined for recipients who's names
appear in a "Do Not Send" database. Mail Inspector also adds a custom disclaimer
to the email before sending it out.
As part of the project we incorporated an automatic unsubscribe
system. This system monitors an email address
for an unsubscribe email request and Mail Inspector
automatically adds those recipients to the "Do Not Send"
database.
RSP were impressed with the
result and rest easy in the knowledge that they wont be
receiving any nasty spam litigation claims.

Business
System Customisation
As RSP use an older style inventory system, it is difficult to
implement new systems that are user friendly and easy to use. As
such, when we were asked to develop a system to easily input
packaging information for products we decide to develop a
windows based add-on. By
accessing the data store directly we were able to produce a
friendly windows based interface that is simple and quick to
